Our hours vary by season and weather. During the peak Fargo-Moorhead construction season, we aim to maximize daylight hours to ensure your project stays on schedule. We generally begin our day in the early morning, but we remain flexible to accommodate the specific needs of the neighborhood and the current weather forecast. We will always communicate our planned arrival and departure times with you as the project progresses.

Exterior remodeling is a construction project, so there will be noise. You’ll hear the "thud" of old siding being removed, the "hum" of our on-site seamless gutter machine, and the sound of pneumatic nail guns. If you work from home or have small children who nap, let us know! We can often coordinate our loudest tasks (like the tear-off) around your specific needs.

No. Many of our clients are at work during the day. As long as we have access to exterior power outlets and a clear perimeter around the house, you can go about your day. Owner Blake is personally involved and oversees the site, so you can rest assured that your property is being handled with care even while you’re away.

Narrow lots require strict staging coordination to keep your property functional and safe. Our production team coordinates delivery schedules so that heavy pallets of siding or roofing are drops-staged only in designated utility zones, keeping your primary sidewalks and neighbor property lines entirely unobstructed. We map out specific foot-traffic pathways for the crews to ensure your delicate turf and entryways suffer zero high-traffic compaction.

Heavy exterior remodeling involves sudden high-frequency vibrations and loud mechanical noise that can easily stress or startle domestic pets. We recommend keeping all dogs and cats safely indoors or making off-site boarding arrangements during active tear-off hours. In addition, please let our team know if you have an active underground invisible fence loop so our crews can avoid placing heavy ladders or material pallets directly over those thin signal paths.

At Apollo Exteriors & Restoration, we perform a full tear-off. Siding over old materials is a "shortcut" that hides potential rot, mold, and pest infestations. By removing the old layer, we can inspect the underlying wood sheathing, replace any soft spots, and ensure the new house wrap is integrated perfectly with your windows and doors.

We manage 100% of the debris removal. We typically use a specialized dump trailer rather than a standard "roll-off" dumpster. This is better for your property because the rubber tires are gentler on your driveway, and we can move the trailer as soon as it’s full. You won’t have a giant metal box sitting in your yard for weeks after the job is done.

We use a combination of heavy-duty tarps and "lean-to" boards to create a protective shield for your flower beds and bushes. We treat your landscaping with the same respect we’d give our own. While a project of this scale involves a lot of moving parts, our goal is to leave your yard exactly as we found it.

We clean as we go. We don’t wait until the end of the week to tidy up. At the end of every workday, we perform a site sweep to pick up scrap material. Once the project is complete, we perform a final "Deep Clean," which includes a high-powered magnetic sweep of your lawn, driveway, and flower beds to pick up any stray nails or metal shards.

Whenever possible, yes. We take our loads to local facilities that sort materials. Metals like aluminum gutters and steel siding are 100% recyclable, and we ensure they are disposed of in an environmentally responsible manner.

If we find rotted sheathing or structural issues once the old siding is off, we don’t just "cover it up." Owner Blake will document the damage with photos and show it to you immediately. We’ll discuss the necessary repairs and provide a clear, transparent cost for the wood replacement before moving forward. This ensures your home’s "bones" are healthy before the new exterior goes on.

We prioritize safety when handling historic exterior renovations. If older wood siding or trim layers test positive for lead paint, our crews execute strict containment and environmental safety protocols. We lay heavy-duty plastic sheeting completely beneath the target walls to capture all paint chips, use specialized manual extraction tools to minimize hazardous dust, seal the debris securely in thick transport bags, and dispose of the waste in strict compliance with environmental regulations.

We do not leave your home open to the elements. Our crews work in highly organized section phases, stripping away only as much old siding or roofing as can be safely re-wrapped and sealed with high-performance synthetic house wrap or waterproof ice and water barriers before the conclusion of that specific workday. If a sudden flash storm pops up on the radar, our field team immediately halts production to deploy commercial-grade weatherproofing tarps over any exposed sections.

Windows are the most vulnerable part of your home’s exterior during construction. We use specialized "lean-to" protection-typically sheets of OSB or reinforced plywood-leaned against the house over window openings while we are removing old siding. This creates a physical shield against falling debris and accidental tool contact.

We take extra precautions with your outdoor living spaces. We use "ladder mitts" (soft rubber caps) on the tops of our ladders to prevent scratching your new siding or fascia. For decks and patios, we use heavy-duty drop cloths and "stagger" our equipment to ensure we aren’t putting concentrated weight on one area for too long. If you have a composite deck (like Trex), we are especially careful to avoid scuffs and scratches.

We treat your landscaping like the investment it is. Before work begins, we identify your most fragile plants. We use a "tarping and bracing" system-where we drape lightweight, breathable tarps over bushes and use stakes to keep them from being crushed. This allows us to catch small debris and nails while keeping the plants underneath safe and healthy.

Driveway protection is one of the reasons we prefer dump trailers over traditional "roll-off" dumpsters. The rubber tires on our trailers distribute weight more evenly. If we are working on a decorative concrete or asphalt driveway in a neighborhood like South Fargo or Moorhead, we use wood blocking under our trailer jacks to prevent "sinking" or cracking.

Yes. We build a protective "cage" or shield over your exterior HVAC units during the phases of the project where debris might fall. It is critical that your AC unit remains clear of dust and metal shards to function correctly, and we ensure it is protected without blocking its necessary airflow.

Absolutely. We perform daily magnetic sweeps as well as a final, intensive sweep upon project completion. We use high-strength industrial magnets that pull nails and metal scraps from deep within the grass and mulch. Our goal is to ensure that your yard is 100% safe for kids, pets, and lawnmower tires.

This is where the Apollo Exteriors & Restoration Difference and our licensing/insurance come into play. Because Owner Blake is on-site, we catch mistakes immediately. In the rare event that a plant is damaged or a screen is torn, we don’t hide it. We bring it to your attention immediately and take full responsibility for repairing or replacing the item. We aren’t finished until your property is in better condition than we found it.

We appreciate it if you can move smaller items, but for heavy grills or large patio sets, our crew is happy to help move them a safe distance from the "work zone" on the first day. We want a clear 5-to-10-foot perimeter around the house to work safely and efficiently.

While the work is exterior, the vibration of hammers and nail guns can occasionally cause items on interior walls to shift. We recommend that homeowners remove fragile items or "leaning" pictures from the interior of the walls we are working on for that day. It’s a simple precaution that provides total peace of mind.

Commercial gutter extrusion trailers and material trucks carry massive mechanical weight that can easily crack standard residential concrete driveways or punch ruts into asphalt if unbuffered. Before we back our machinery into position, our crews place custom protective wood dunnage cushions beneath all heavy trailer leveling jacks and tires. This disperses the weight load across a broad surface area, fully protecting your concrete pads from localized pressure stress cracks.

Unprotected low-voltage lighting and exterior utility boxes are easily crushed by a falling siding panel or a shifting ladder base. During our pre-construction setup, our field crews physically mark all outdoor spigots, optical fiber boxes, gas meters, and delicate landscape lighting lines with high-visibility marker flags. We then erect custom protective plywood shields or heavy canvas caps directly over these utility components to isolate them completely from falling debris.
